About Michelle
A personal journey shaped by listening, reflection, and years of working closely with learners and families.

I didn’t Arrive Here by Accident
I didn’t Set Out to Become an Educator in the Conventional Sense!
I became one by listening — to students who were unseen, children who were
misunderstood, and parents who felt they were failing when they weren’t.
Over time, I realised that many learning struggles weren’t academic at all.
They were emotional. Relational. Human.
Listening and Learning
Observations and Experiences That Shaped My Approach!
What I Noticed
- I noticed how easily children internalise labels.
- How quickly confidence erodes when learning feels unsafe.
- How often parents blame themselves when systems don’t fit their child.
- I saw bright students shut down.
- I saw sensitive children harden.
- Capable learners begin to believe they were “not enough”
What Shaped My Approach
My work has been shaped by years of teaching across abilities, personalities, and learningstyles — and by working closely with families, not just students. It has taught me that:
- Confidence comes before performance.
- Emotional safety precedes academic progress.
- Learning accelerates when a child feels seen.
- There is no single path that suits every learner.
Homeschooling
A Different Way Froward!
Homeschooling, for me, was never about pulling away from education.
It was about returning to what learning was meant to be.
I work with families who choose homeschooling:
- Intentionally, not reactively
- Thoughtfully, not fearfully
- With structure, not chaos
Whether families homeschool fully or partially, my role is to help them build clarity, rhythm, and confidence — without burning out or second-guessing themselves.

Stories and Voices
Voices and Experiences From Real Learning Journeys!
What unfolds here is shared through real stories and thoughtful conversations. If you’d like to explore the stories and conversations that have grown from this work, you’ll find them next.

Differently-Wired Learners
Working With Differently Wired Learners!
Some children don’t need more pressure. They need more understanding. I work with learners who are:
- Sensitive, anxious, or emotionally intense
- Gifted but disengaged
- Underestimated or misunderstood in traditional settings
My focus is not on fixing children — but on helping them feel safe enough to try, trust enough to grow, and confident enough to believe in themselves again.
