About Michelle

A personal journey shaped by listening, reflection, and years of working closely with learners and families.

I didn’t Arrive Here by Accident

I didn’t Set Out to Become an Educator in the Conventional Sense!

I became one by listening — to students who were unseen, children who were
misunderstood, and parents who felt they were failing when they weren’t.

Over time, I realised that many learning struggles weren’t academic at all.

They were emotional. Relational. Human.

Listening and Learning

Observations and Experiences That Shaped My Approach!

What I Noticed

That was never a lack of ability. It was a lack of understanding.

What Shaped My Approach

My work has been shaped by years of teaching across abilities, personalities, and learningstyles — and by working closely with families, not just students. It has taught me that:

These principles guide everything I do.

Homeschooling

A Different Way Froward!

Homeschooling, for me, was never about pulling away from education.
It was about returning to what learning was meant to be.

I work with families who choose homeschooling:

Whether families homeschool fully or partially, my role is to help them build clarity, rhythm, and confidence — without burning out or second-guessing themselves.

Stories and Voices

Voices and Experiences From Real Learning Journeys!

What unfolds here is shared through real stories and thoughtful conversations. If you’d like to explore the stories and conversations that have grown from this work, you’ll find them next.

Differently-Wired Learners

Working With Differently Wired Learners!

Some children don’t need more pressure. They need more understanding. I work with learners who are:

My focus is not on fixing children — but on helping them feel safe enough to try, trust enough to grow, and confident enough to believe in themselves again.

How I Work

A Quiet, Trust-Led Way of Working With Learners Together!

I do not rush learning or force outcomes. I work closely, personally, and intentionally, building trust first so progress can follow naturally. This work is quiet, relational, and deeply human.

Learning Unrushed

Learning is never rushed. Space, time, and patience allow understanding and confidence to grow naturally.

Outcomes Unforced

Outcomes are not forced. Progress emerges through trust, support, and readiness rather than pressure.

Personal Approach

Every learner is approached personally, with care and attention to who they are and what they need.

Trust First

Trust comes first. When relationships are strong, learning feels safe and progress follows naturally.
